What is it? Suncalc calculates shadow patterns of a particular place, date, and time. These shadow patterns can be corroborated with a photo or a still image from a video as one way to reveal if the photo or video has been tampered with or if the way it is being presented is factually accurate.
How to use it to verify information: Set the location of the object of the image in question, set the date and time that the image was allegedly taken, and enter the height of the object. The shadow length is calculated in the data provided and the position and length of the shadow is displayed on the map. Compare this information with the image in question to determine if there are any obvious differences.
